Adria Security Summit 2025 Program: strategic themes and future outlook

The Adria Security Summit 2025 will take place on October 8-9 at the Aleksandar Palace Hotel in Skopje. The 10th anniversary edition of the Summit will feature a rich conference program, where leading international and regional experts will present innovative solutions, emerging trends, and key challenges shaping the security industry.
The conference program
Through a series of lectures and panel discussions, participants will gain valuable insights into the latest technologies and practices that are redefining security, both now and in the future.
Living and Working in a Big Data World
The program kicks off with the keynote address, “Living and Working in a Big Data World,” presented by Sergej Pičulin and Nikolai Landa from Advancis. Their session will focus on transforming Big Data into clear, actionable intelligence through PSIM solutions. Through practical examples, the speakers will showcase how predictive intelligence can drive smarter decision-making, strengthen organizational resilience, and support sustainable risk management.
Trends in Safety and Security Solutions
The second lecture, titled “Trends in Safety and Security Solutions,” will be delivered by Tijana Kocevska and Boris Popović, CEO of Alarm Automatika. They will showcase how artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and system interoperability are allowing security solutions to go beyond their traditional function, driving efficiency across industries from energy and transportation to retail and resource management.
“Our goal – says Mahir Hodžić, Chairman of the Adria Security Summit Organizing Committee – is to raise the bar each year by offering content that inspires, educates, and connects participants. This year’s conference program clearly demonstrates how the security industry is increasingly becoming a driver of innovation that extends far beyond security itself”.
Importance of IoT on Fire Safety
The third lecture, “Importance of IoT in Fire Safety,” will be presented by Jakub Bednarz and Stefanie Steudel from Bosch Building Solutions. This session will explore how smarter fire protection is increasingly relying on IoT technologies, transforming conventional alarms into intelligent, predictive systems. Networked sensors, predictive maintenance, data analytics, and integrated safety ecosystems enable faster responses, greater reliability, and safer prevention.
How to Build a Bulletproof Cloud Defense?
Cloud security is becoming critical as adoption expands across industries, including heavily regulated environments. AWS has become the platform of choice for many critical systems, creating the need for security-first architectures from the ground up. How to design such infrastructure, which tools and services to use, and how to meet regulatory requirements without unnecessary complexity will be outlined by Károly Sepsy in the fourth lecture, “How to Build a Bulletproof Cloud Defense?”.
Critical Infrastructure Protection
The fifth session, “Critical Infrastructure Protection”, will be presented by Catherina Piana of CoESS. She will emphasize once again why the protection of critical infrastructure is essential and must remain a top priority for every country.
Registration
Visitor registration is open via the digital platform run.events, where participants will receive full access to the conference program as well as advanced networking and meeting scheduling tools.
