Axis: new red explosion-protected cameras for hazardous areas
Axis Communications launched new fixed box cameras enclosed in red colored aluminum housing making them more visible to allow personnel to use them to signal to operators in emergency situations.
These easy-to-install and integrate IP cameras are worldwide certified to ensure safe operation in explosion prone applications.
FEATURES OF AXIS RED EXPLOSION-PROTECTED CAMERAS
Images are optimized for forensic purposes irrespective of lighting conditions, thanks to Axis Lightfinder and Forensic WDR technologies. D101-A XF P3807 features four sensors to give seamless 180° panoramic overviews in one single video stream. Whereas, F101-A XF Q1785 features a 32x optical zoom for 2 MP/HDTV 1080p up to 60 fps and comes with AXIS Guard Suite pre-installed and Active Gatekeeper. The latter allows to monitor a gate and its surroundings, adding autotracking functionality to follow an object that moves away from the gate.

D101-A XF P3807 is certified to international standards to ensure safe operation in explosion prone applications. It comes enclosed in an aluminum red housing with IP66 rating. F101-A XF Q1785 is certified to international standards to ensure safe operation in explosion prone applications. It can withstand temperatures between -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F). It comes enclosed in an aluminum red housing with IP66 rating. By using red, it helps the camera stands out more, especially useful in darker environments, for instance in a smoke-filled room. Built-in PoE support makes this Axis camera easy to install and repair. Plus, it supports Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), which greatly improves video quality in situations where the camera is subject to vibration.
