It’s precisely in this context that the experience of FLY INN HOTEL & LOUNGE fits, a modern hotel located just minutes from Brussels International Airport.

The hotel spans four floors, with welcoming, functional rooms, connecting corridors, an in-house restaurant and service areas. This type of structure makes it essential to have an advanced fire safety system capable of providing comprehensive, continuous protection without disrupting daily operations.

THE REALIZATION OF EL.MO.’S SOLUTION AND THE BENEFITS FOR THE FLY INN HOTEL & LOUNGE

Hotel management faced the need to update a fire safety system that had become outdated and no longer met current technological and regulatory standards. The objective was twofold: increase the level of safety while minimizing intervention times and costs by reusing part of the existing infrastructure, such as cabling and conventional sirens. All of this without interrupting the hotel’s normal operations.

AIRTERM, an EL.MO. partner specializing in fire protection systems, carried out a complete revamp of the system. At the heart of the project was the installation of a TA4000 control panel with 2 loops, capable of dynamically and efficiently managing all connected devices.

The new system includes:

• 72 smoke detectors strategically placed in all rooms, corridors, common areas, and technical spaces, ensuring complete and precise coverage.
• 16 manual alarm buttons, strategically positioned on each floor to enable immediate emergency signaling.
• Dedicated protection for the elevator, with automatic command management in the presence of smoke or fire, safeguarding both guests and technical staff.
• Recovery and reuse of the conventional sirens already installed, reducing material waste and costs.
• Integration of a gas safety valve with immediate automatic shut off in the event of fire detection.

A distinctive feature of the solution is the integration of EL.MO.’s e-Connect platform. It allows remote control and supervision of the system via cloud. This enables hotel management and technical staff to constantly monitor system status, schedule maintenance, receive real-time notifications, and respond promptly when necessary, even from a distance.
