Euralarm liaison with ISO TC21 SC3 to connect European and International standards

For years, Euralarm used to have an observer status in various Technical Committees of the European standardisation bodies, such as CEN and CENELEC to represent the European Fire Safety and Security Industry. These organizations are major providers of European Standards and technical specifications and remove trade barriers for industry and consumers.
The European standardisation is getting more and more connected to the international standardisation on ISO and IEC level as the Vienna and the Dresden agreements are offering a lot of opportunities. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. International Standards give state of the art specifications for products, services and good practice, helping to make industry more efficient and effective. Developed through global consensus, they help to break down barriers to international trade.
For all these reasons the European industry decided to be represented also in the international standardisation process. Euralarm is pleased that ISO has granted Euralarm a bilateral liaison status Type A.
