i-PRO: Introducing AI Scene Change Detection

i-PRO: AI Scene Change Detection

i-PRO points out that AI-based analytic application brings easy on-site learning of a scene by a series of captured images.

“As of today – they say – AI Scene Change Detection is added to our collection of powerful edge-based AI analytics applications. Following our AI-Ification strategy of the security industry, Scene Change Detection is the first AI-based analytic application that provides easy on-site learning of a scene, embodying the latest in AI analytics technology”.

FEATURES OF i-PRO AI SCENE CHANGE DETECTION

When anomalies occur within the camera’s field of view, an alert can be sent to security and operations teams.

“Making security operators’ lives easier by – they say from i-PRO  – developing AI-based software further and achieving an important milestone towards proactive surveillance, we are continuing our aim to be your next generation partner for the security industry”.

“We believe – says Norio Hitsuishi, Head of Product Management at i-PRO Co., Ltd. – that i-PRO’s Scene Change Detection represents the industry’s first edge AI-based scene change detection app to optimize the scene detection algorithm by learning from captured images. Our unique implementation is very powerful and allows for users to specify how much change triggers an alert after a specified elapsed time. For example, an outside door should be able to open and close routinely without triggering an alarm. Using Scene Change Detection, users can set it to only alarm if the door is left open for more than 5 minutes. This is something that traditional motion detection analytics can’t do.”

DEPLOYABLE TO MORE THAN 100 I-PRO AI CAMERA MODELS

Unlike traditional AI-based object detection analytics which alert or flag when objects cross lines or enter predefined zones, scene change detection allows users to teach a surveillance camera what an entire scene looks like in a normal state. The analytic then flags an anomaly whenever any preselected part of the scene varies from normal.

SOME EXAMPLES OF i-PRO AI SCENE CHANGE DETECTION

In the first picture on the left.
Out-of-stock product: if the normal status is stock on the shelf, then the application will notify when the shelf is out-of-stock.

In the second one (on the right).
Left behind objects: if the normal status is an empty area, the application will notify when a stationary object is left behind.

In the third one (on the left).
Door movement: if the normal status is a closed door, the application will notify when the door is left open.

In the fourth one (on the right).
Parking vacancy: if the normal status is parked, then the application will notify when a spot is vacant.
