Ifsec: The Benchmark Innovation Award Finalists

The Benchmark Innovation Award finalists will be showcased during IFSEC International 2016, which takes place between 21-23 June 2016 at ExCeL London, in the Benchmark Innovation Lounge (stand B300).
These are the finalists.

Axis Communications: AXIS Q6000-E
Deployed with the Q60-E networked PTZ dome camera to work as a single device the Q6000-E is a multi-camera unit with four 2MP HD720p cameras. The AXIS Q60-E can be mounted inside the AXIS Q6000-E.
Each offering a 90-degree field of view the four cameras provide full 360-degree coverage. The combined units require just a single network cable and a PoE+ power supply.
Ideal for surveillance of public squares, parking lots and other open areas.
The AXIS Q6000-E incorporates Axis’ Zipstream technology, which slashes bandwidth and storage requirements by about 50% or more without sacrificing resolution, frame rate and forensic details. Zipstream also adapts automatically to PTZ camera movements.

Pelco: Optera
This 12MP camera delivers a ‘panomersive experience’, according to Pelco. How does this work? Optera optimises images delivered from four sensors and stitches and blends them at their boundaries to create a seamless, continuous panorama.
Harnessing SureVision 2.0 technology the Optera produces high-quality images in extreme low-light conditions.
Capturing the panoramic scene does not preclude the operator from honing in on areas of interest and retaining the crisp, detailed, immersive views. Pelco claims to have banished poor alignment between sensors, manual sequencing of images or gaps in information.‘Anti-bloom’ technology and proprietary image processing means SureVision 2.0 produces high-quality images in extreme low light without ever leaving wide dynamic range mode.

IC Realtime: IC720 Beam
Featuring a dual lens design the IC720 Beam is a ‘situational awareness’ IP camera.  The video below, filmed from an in-flight cockpit on the IC720 Beam, gives you an insight into its capabilities.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series processor gives it the engine to provide the fully immersive experience.
IC Realtime, a US-based company with a UK HQ in Guildford, pitches this as a camera designed to see everything with no blind spots. Harnessing both H.264 video compression and AAC audio compression technology the IC720 Beam maintains high quality recorded audio and video with a low bitrate.
It’s also a standalone device, unlike the more conventional-looking cameras on this shortlist.

IDIS: DR-6332PS-P
The DR-6332PS-P is at the cutting edge where resolution and compression standards are concerned, boasting a 4K H.265 recorder from IDIS’ flagship DirectIP range.
Video throughput is 350Mbps and the recorder achieves up to 960fps recording. It supports UHD display and boasts a built-in 16 channel PoE switch that can be widened to up to 32 channels).
It can accommodate 132TB of storage and supports RAID 1. A one-click network configuration through the FEN service offers remote connectivity and strehgthen’s the prospects of triumph in the video surveillance hardware category.
The DR-6332PS-P from IDIS also supports third-party cameras from the likes of Axis and Panasonic.

Dahua: Laser-enabled PTZ Domes
The deployment of laser infrared illumination in Dahua’s latest PTZ dome models affords an impressive night-view range of 500 metres and a field of view of up to 60 degrees.
The Starlight series boasts low-light performance of 0.005Lux/ F1.65 (colour), a two-megapixel, 1/1.9”progressive-scan CMOS image sensor support for up to 50/60fps@1080P encoding and a Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) of 120dB.
Dahua in-house Smart Scene Adaptive (SSA) supports automatic switchover between scenes. The PTZ Dome Camera also supports people counting, heat maps and a range of other video analytics tools.
