Logital: a reality on the security market for over twenty years
S News meets Paolo Barbieri, Logital Managing Director.
Mister Barbieri, Logital has been a reality on the security market for over twenty years…
Sure, Logital has been working as technology integrator for more than twenty years. We did our first installation in 1992, and it was a networks alarm centralized system at Banca Agricola Mantovana.
Security has been a very important brand since the starting up of the company.
Banks have been an important customer of ours ever since.
Over the years, important installations started in the logistic field as well as in the big industries, first of all Telecom.
Going specifically, which are your most important verticalities?
In addition to security, just mentioned, another very important verticality for Logital is the world about “parking”: we are important integrators for Skidata, multinational leader in parking automation.
Now what is developing and spreading is NFC (Near Field Communication), connected to the pedestrian access control applications, to payments, to ZTL, and obviously to the car parking.
The partnership with Telecom, in this field too, is very strong and we are developing some very interesting concepts with them.
NFC is really a very important topic, isn’t it?
It is, and I think, as I said, that NFC is the true frontier in the mobile world. It will become the new way in operating. NFC will enter our everyday life: in payments, in logins, and much more, simply by our mobile phone.
Considering this, which will be Logital’s role inside “Telecom incubator”?
We are developing these prototypes with the aim to gain a role as important suppliers for primary market operators, such as Telecom.
That’s why we are focusing on developing specific solutions, such as the possibility to use the mobile phone to enter a parking zone or a ZTL area.
