Focus on security personnel, operatives and front-line professionals
Tristan Norman, Group Director, comments: “Launching Professional Security Officer Live demonstrates our commitment to the security industry. It’s a market we know very well, and our research has shown that there is a genuine demand from our exhibitors, partners and visitors to recognise the critical role that security personnel, operatives and front-line professionals play in the security sector”.
Never seen before and well overdue, PSO will host major industry brands from the security guarding sector, showcasing the latest products, services, technologies, training and solutions enabling security personnel to perform their duties protecting people, places and assets. A comprehensive free-to-attend conference will highlight and address key issues within the sector, including training and certification, career pathways, skills and talent shortage, standards, health and wellbeing, physical protection and much more.
Professional Security Officer Live is hugely welcomed and backed by leading industry stakeholders International Professional Security Association (IPSA), International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO), Skills4Security, The Security Institute (SyI), ASIS and PCPI, to name a few.
“IPSA – Satia Rai MSyI, Chief Executive Officer, IPSA, highlights – are delighted to be part of the Professional Security Officer Live launch at The Security Event. There is a huge need to attract, train and retain talent in the private security industry to address the ever-changing landscape of risk and to raise standards within the sector. We are pleased that the team at Nineteen Group, organizer of the event, are leading and driving the change to focus on and include our front-line, the heart beat of our industry”.
Mike Hurst, CPP CPOI, Director of the International Foundation for Protection Officers in the UK and Ireland and a member of its global board, says: “With members and students in 54 countries, the IFPO is dedicated to advancing the role of the security officer through education, certification, developing career pathways and supporting mental health and wellbeing. We are therefore delighted to support Professional Security Officer Live and look forward to working with the organisers to further develop and enhance this important area of the security profession”.
