Security and digital transformation at SECON 2023
The need for integrated security has become more critical. Manufacturing, IT, infrastructure, and service industries in Japan, China, and ASEAN are already undergoing digital transformation, and Korea is accelerating the construction of smart cities and e-government centred on central government departments and local governments.
This is due to social changes, such as easy paperwork, easy payment and authentication, various O2O service platforms, cybersecurity threats, cloud service growth, population reduction, and intelligent transportation. “In addition – the organizers highlight – the fact that the cost of production using machines has become much lower than the cost of production using human labour is also encouraging the acceleration of smart factories, and due to the long-standing impact of COVID-19, the market for non-face-to-face medical care, video conferencing, and kiosks is also growing”.
SECON 2023 is a trend-leading exhibition at the heart of this digital transformation, allowing visitors to experience the latest products and solution services, while reading the latest security trends in advance to help anticipate changes in the near future.
SECON 2022
SECON 2022 welcomed 291 companies from 12 countries and 22,778 buyers and visitors from 13 countries. Furthermore, more than 70% of the total exhibiting space for the 2023 event was booked during the event days. “It is considered an encouraging signal – the organizers conclude – even if it has not returned to the level prior to the COVID-19 pandemic perfectly. Also, it is reflected the branding power of the event has been still valid to security industry experts”.
