SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria 2026

SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria, the new security technology trade fair, will take place for the first time on 14 and 15 October at Messe Klagenfurt, Austria. The trade fair offers visitors a valuable overview of the topics of access control, fire safety, IT security, perimeter protection and video surveillance.

“Particularly at a time when security requirements are increasing in both the business world and society – the organizers say – the SicherheitsExpo is the trade fair platform for presenting and demonstrating security technology that can protect companies and the public sector from criminal attacks, whether from within or without”.

Exhibitors at SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria include, amongst others, AJAX SYSTEMS, ALLNET, ASSA ABLOY, evolutionID together with LEGIC, Klüh Security with GEUTEBRÜCK, PKE and TELENOT ELECTRONIC.

High-calibre Lecture Programme

The specialist forum at SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria features high-calibre presentations and engaging discussions with experts from the fields of public safety, business and research. Attendance at the specialist programme in the lecture forum offers the latest findings, practical insights and the opportunity to exchange views on the key security issues of our time.

The VSÖ expert forum begins with an opening keynote address by General Mag. Andreas Holzer, MA, Director of the Federal Criminal Police Office. A panel of experts will include Mag. Alexander Kraus, VSÖ board member, Managing Director of G4S Austria and Head of the Central Europe Cluster at G4S; DI Georg Schwondra, Partner at Deloitte Austria and Head of Cyber Risk; and Dr Armin Kaltenegger, Head of the Legal Department and the Property Protection Research Division at the Austrian Road Safety Board (KFV).

In addition, the Austrian Road Safety Board (KFV) is presenting further specialist talks, such as: ‘From the perpetrator’s perspective: A study with prisoners on motives and methods used in burglary offences’ by Patricia Rosenauer, BA, KFV Austrian Road Safety Board. Another presentation is entitled ‘Early detection of forest fires using drones’ by Stefan Georgiev, MA, KFV Austrian Road Safety Board.

Official Patronage and Welcome Address

The Governor of Carinthia, Ing. Daniel Fellner, is the patron of the SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria and, in his welcome address to the exhibition, highlights the relevance of the topics covered there: “We live in an age in which security requires new solutions. The protection of critical infrastructure, cyber security, modern operational and surveillance technologies, and innovative drone solutions are becoming increasingly important. This makes it all the more vital that politicians, the business community, emergency services and the research sector work together to develop solutions that provide people with a sense of security and make our society more resilient. The SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria is far more than just a trade fair: it is a place for exchange, interaction and cross-border cooperation. It is precisely this spirit of cooperation that we need in order to tackle the challenges of our time with commitment and successfully develop visions for the future”.

SicherheitsExpo Event Series

The trade fair concept, which has been established and run in Munich for 23 years, was expanded to Berlin in 2025. From 2026, the security technology trade fair will now offer an additional platform for trade visitors from Austria, Slovenia and north-eastern Italy. The Alps-Adriatic region comprises the Austrian federal states of Carinthia and Styria, the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Republic of Slovenia.
