SicherheitsExpo Munich 2026: Future-oriented Security Technologies

SicherheitsExpo Munich will take place from 1-2 July 2026 at the MOC in Munich, offering trade visitors the opportunity to gain first-hand, in-depth insights into the latest security issues.
S News is Media Partner of the event.
“Particularly at a time when security requirements in business and society are increasing – the organizers say – SicherheitsExpo is the trade fair platform for presenting and demonstrating security technology capable of protecting companies and the public sector from criminal attacks, whether from within or without. A key focus of the exhibition programme is the protection of critical infrastructure. Topics covered at SicherheitsExpo Munich include access control, video surveillance, fire protection, perimeter protection and IT security”.
Industry experts will be on hand to demonstrate how businesses and public institutions can effectively secure their sensitive areas, minimise risks and comply with legal requirements. The focus will be on innovative technologies, digital security solutions and practical strategies.
Specialist Presentations on Current Security Issues
On both days of the exhibition, SicherheitsExpo Munich will host specialist presentations on current topics and developments in the industry. Here, renowned speakers and leading experts will demonstrate and discuss cutting-edge security technologies. The opening presentation on the topic of security in business and society will be given by Bavaria’s Minister of the Interior, Joachim Herrmann.
The Topics covered in the SicherheitsExpo Forum
The conference programme at the trade fair highlights current developments and challenges in modern security and infrastructure. The presentations cover a range of key topics, from digital access control and integrated security platforms to the protection of critical infrastructure, physical security and new technologies.
One key focus is on the future of access control and identity management systems. The spotlight is on cloud and mobile ID, smart access, AI-supported security processes and the further development of traditional systems. The migration of legacy architectures to cloud and hybrid environments will also be discussed, as will software-based solutions that are increasingly replacing hardware.
Another focus is on integrated and networked security platforms. The conference will address the consolidation of access control, visitor management, video surveillance and sensor technology into centralised systems. The aim is to achieve automated workflows, efficient cross-site management and scalable, cloud-based security architectures.
In the area of critical infrastructure, resilience and the geopolitical security landscape, the focus is on current threat scenarios and their impact on businesses and public authorities. Discussions will cover resilience strategies, regulatory requirements and the implementation of security measures in a way that strikes a balance between economic and operational considerations.
Another thematic block is dedicated to physical security and operational protection concepts. These include modern access and locking systems, perimeter protection, zone-based security architectures, and rapid response and alerting concepts. The evolution of traditional control centres into integrated command centres is also addressed. The programme is rounded off by innovative technologies such as drone detection, robotics and sensor fusion. In future, these are intended to detect threats at an early stage and enable automated responses as part of intelligent integrated systems.
A Look Ahead to the SicherheitsExpo Trade Fair Year
This year, the annual calendar features various security trade fairs organised by AFAG, which will highlight the latest developments, key issues and forward-looking solutions at different venues:
- SicherheitsExpo Munich has been held annually at the MOC in Munich for over 20 years. This year, the event will open its doors on 1 and 2 July.
- Shortly afterwards, on 15 and 16 July, KRIFA Münster, a specialist congress on security and crisis prevention with an accompanying exhibition, will take place.
- On 14 and 15 October, SicherheitsExpo Alpe Adria will be held for the first time at Messe Klagenfurt (Austria).
