Bruno, Commissioner of the Office of Emergency Management in New York City, were at the congress “The city as a critical infrastructure. Partnership between the public and private sectors for an Integrated Security in the City” in Rome, held on 25th March 2014 in the conference room “Sala dei Gruppi Parlamentari della Camera dei Deputati”. Detoni declares :“ The target of this event is to understand how a complex city like New York City, has been organized and has created an Office of Emergency Management”.
The operating model of New York City is presented by Bruno, who underlines also how this city has realized a great partnership between the public and private sectors.
Detoni explains: “ All this represents an example and a starting point for the Italian model. The private sector has to be involved in the management of the emergencies, not only in the critical infrastructures and the public utilities sectors”.
