Light + Building 2024: everything’s ready!
Light + Building 2024, from 3 to 8 March, will cover the spectrum from intelligent lighting technology to future-oriented home and building-services technology in Frankfurt am Main.
Light + Building is the international meeting place for manufacturers from the lighting, electrical engineering, home and building automation and connected security technology sectors. The most important visitor groups include architects, interior architects, designers, planners and engineers as well as craftsmen, trade and industry.
“The level of internationality among the over 2,130 exhibitors – the organizers say – has reached 77 percent. After Germany, the majority of exhibitors come from Italy, China, Turkey, Spain, Poland, Austria, the Netherlands, Great Britain, France and Greece”.
“With just a few weeks to go before the doors open, we can report a powerful final spurt with a good 130 exhibitor registrations having been received since the end of last year. This represents another positive boost for the final stages until the trade fair begins”, says Johannes Möller, Director, Light + Building.
The events at Light + Building 2024
Numerous events will ensure no shortage of inspiration and information. At the Design Plaza in Hall 3.1, everything revolves around lighting, architecture and design. In close thematic proximity to home and building automation, as well as electrical engineering, the Building Plaza in Hall 9.0, the ZVEI Technology Forum in Hall 12.1 and the ZVEH E‑House in Hall 11.0 offer a great opportunity for knowledge transfer. Guided tours on selected subjects ensure orientation despite the multitude of themes covered by the fair.
BIM: the key for building projects of the future
What if everyone involved in the construction process of a building had access to digital plans, process control and extensive databases in a cloud? With BIM (Building Information Modeling), this has been possible for several years. The interconnection of the various trades around the building is part of the Light + Building top theme of “Connectivity“. It focuses on electrification and digitalization in the Smart Home and Smart Building.
